[The Final Stretch] The Guardians of the Crystal Kickstarter Is Almost Over
It’s been almost a month since we launched the Kickstarter campaign for The Guardians of the Crystal and the response has been quite overwhelming. Now, with less than four days left, the campaign has received almost 1,500 backers and sits at 1583 percent funded.
Given how much time had passed between The Guardians and the Crystal and The Legacy of the Crystal, and the different subject matter, we had no idea how this new campaign would turn out. But it’s safe to say that the way the community has responded to everything we’ve shown has been surreal. So, thank you - thank you for believing in us yet again.

Jokes aside, there are still just over three days left and we want to try and shout about everything as much as we can. We still get comments now from our community lamenting that they missed out on our first campaign and it’s one of the reasons why we made The Legacy of the Crystal available as part of this new campaign. It’s therefore been included in discounted bundles and as an add-on.

All Stretch Goals Achieved
We introduced stretch goals half-way through the campaign and every-single-one has been achieved. That means every physical backer will now received:
A Free A5 Art Print that matches whatever main book cover they’ve purchased
A Free Foil-Stamped Bookmark
A Free Sticker Set
The bookmark and sticker set are also available as add-ons if you’d like extras, and there are no caps so you can order as many as you want.
Every copy of The Guardians of the Crystal will also be upgraded, at no extra cost, to feature:
Thematic Head & Tail Bands (e.g. Bahamut books will feature black/gold tail bands)
Thematic Coloured Endpapers

Extra STARR Editions
Due to demand, we also opened five extra STARR EDITIONs.
These will come with an IFRIT Book, signed by Ben Starr, and an A4 gold-leaf IFRIT Art Print designed and leafed by Tholia Bentz, also signed by Ben. If you’d like to understand more about the process, Tholia recorded a video!
As of writing, only three of these remain - so act fast if you don’t want to miss out.
What Happens After?
After the campaign ends in a few days, the Kickstarter will remain open and Late Pledges will be activated for a month or two before we then start to think more seriously about entering into production.
So, if you aren’t able to back before the Kickstarter ends there will still be opportunities either via Late Pledges, or the Pledge Manager phase.
Whether you choose to support the Kickstarter or not, however, your support of Final Fantasy Union in general is very much appreciated. We wouldn’t even be able to do this kind of project if there weren’t still people who enjoy our content in general, so thank you for everything.
